This is probably my favourite Ficus elastica because of the beautiful and unique leaf colouring. Ficus are trees, so can grow extremely tall. Try snipping the tip out to encourage branching and to keep plant at a manageable size. Can be grown outside in Northland a frost free postion.
 
GENERAL FICUS CARE:
 
FERTILISER: For lush foliage growth, GT foliage focus would be the best option.
 
SOIL: A well draining airy soil mix is best, try adding our amendment bundle to your standard potting mix for a great all-purpose mix or our Wildvine houseplant mix works wonders as well. 
 
WATER: Ficus don't like wet feet, so allow the soil to dry out to about 50% between waterings. If you notice the leaves beginning to droop a little, that is a good indication that it is time to water.
 
LIGHT: Ficus prefer as bright of light as you can give them without being direct. 
 
HUMIDITY: Most Ficus grow happily in your average household humidity but do do well in slightly above average humidity.
