Calathea orbifolia are one of the most popular Calathea amongst house plant enthusiasts and for good reason! They have gorgeous round leaves with contrasting silver markings. They can also tolerate slightly lower light condtions as long as they're kept warm & slightly humid (try grouping with other plants to create some ambient humidity)
GENERAL CALATHEA CARE:
FERTILISER: I highly recommend GT foliage focus for all Begonia varieties. If used regularly you will notice a great difference in your plants growth.
SOIL: A well draining airy soil mix is best but also one that has some moisture retention, like our Wildvine House plant mix.
WATER: Calathea don't like soaking wet feet, so try keep an even moisture level. Allow it to dry out to about 60%. Rain water or filtered water is best, Calathea are sensitive to chemicals in tap water
LIGHT: Calathea prefer bright indirect light, like most houseplants, but can tolerate slightly lower light conditions.
HUMIDITY: Most Calathea can grow happily in your average household humidity but they will thrive with above average humidity and warmth. Avoid cold draughts
