Biochar is made from sustainable hardwood, is an extremely beneficial additive to any potting mix and is available in two size grades to suit your needs, 2mm-5mm Fine Grade and 4mm to 8mm Chunky Grade.
 
Why use Biochar? Biochar is fine-grained and highly porous. It's microscopic pore structure provides immense internal surface area and optimum habitat for soil microbiota (extremely beneficial to the overall health of your soil & plants).
Because of this porosity, it also increases aeration in your substrate mix while also retaining valuable moisture.
 
Biochar is also known to absorb toxins and nasties from organic matter, keeping your potting mix fresh and purified. Think of it as natures filter.
